What system requirements are needed to watch videos on SwellTube?
In order to watch videos on our site, make sure that you have access to the following system requirements:

  1. Macromedia Flash Player 8.0+ plug-in
  2. Windows 2000 or higher with latest updates installed
  3. Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
  4. Firefox 1.1+, Internet Explorer 5.0+ or Safari 1.0+
  5. Broadband connection with 500+ Kbps

How do I join SwellTube?
To become a member of SwellTube, go to the "Signup" page, choose a username and password and enter your information.
Then click the "Sign Up" button and that's all.

How do I confirm my email address?
Confirming your email address is required to perform many actions on SwellTube, like uploading videos and posting comments.
Please follow the steps below to confirm your email:

  1. Once you've created your username in our "Sign Up" page, we'll send a confirmation email to the address you entered.
  2. Click the "Confirm your email address" link within that email. You can also copy and paste the link provided into your browser if you prefer.
  3. You'll be directed to a confirmation page and you can immediately begin exploring the site!

If you don't receive the confirmation email within a few minutes, be sure to check your spam folder to make sure it wasn't misfiled.

I have forgotten my username or password. What should I do now?
If you have forgotten your password and/or username, you can retrieve it here.

I never received my confirmation email. What should I do?
If you have just joined SwellTube and you don't receive confirmation email when you expect to, check in your email client's spam folder?some are more aggressive than others about identifying spam.

If you still haven't received it after several hours, login into your account and click "Upload" button from top menu.
If you'll see your email in text box, click "SEND EMAIL" button. This will send another confirmation email to your address.


Uploading Videos to SwellTube

How do I upload a video?
Made sure that your video is less than 10 minutes, smaller than 100 MB and in an acceptable format.Then follow the steps below:

  1. Click "Upload" from the top menu of SwellTube page.
  2. Enter information about your video, including Title, Description, Tags, Website and Category.
  3. Determine if you want your video set to Public or Private.
  4. Click the "Browse" button to browse for the video file. Select the file you want to upload.
  5. Click the "Upload" button.
It can take from a couple of minutes to an hour for your video to upload to SwellTube.

What video file formats can I upload?
SwellTube accepts a wide range of video file formats such as .WMV, .AVI, .MOV and .MPG transferred from most digital cameras, camcorders and mobile phones.

How long does it take to process a video after it's been uploaded?
Processing time varies greatly depending on the format of your original video, file size and upload traffic. This could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours.

Make sure your video is under 10 minutes in length. We accept most video file formats, including .wmv, .mov, .mpg or .avi.
We recommend the MPEG4 format at 640x480 resolution with MP3 audio.

How long does it take my video to appear on SwellTube website?
Each uploaded video require SwellTube review and acceptance before making it available.
You will have to wait for the Editor to approve your video, before watching it online.
Usuallly it should not take more than 48 hours to be approved.

What can I change to my video after it's been uploaded and approved?
You cannot change uploaded video to any other video, however you can disable it from showing on SwellTube website and edit or add more information about your video.

Login into your account and click on "My videos" link below top menu buttons.Browse your videos and click on "Remove" button to disable video or click on "Edit video" link to edit it.
